During September and October 2023 I hiked the 779km Camino de Santiago from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela. Here you will find all the bits and pieces that I chaotically crammed into my trusty 36L Osprey ‘Kyte’ pack to join me on my 35 days.

What I thought would be a four-week stint, has now turned into a bit of a lifestyle. It’s been 6 months since I began housesitting. I packed up my apartment and headed off to my first beautiful little housesit in Coogee. It was a dream.

It feels a little ✨ DRAMATIC✨ to love an apartment so much, but alas, here we are. You know those times in your life that you’ll look back at fondly until the day you die? Dover Road has been one of those.

Let me set the scene. The year was 1937. Mumbai was known as Bombay, and here on a sunny Monday morning, Aislynn was born to Florence and Jacob Hyam.

Like many 84-year-old women, Aislynn is a loving mother and grandmother. To me, she’s a trusted advisor, confidant and dear friend, but she’s also my neighbour.
